I am Haiyue (Shirley) Song, a second-year Master's student in Biostatistics at Brown University.
My research interests include high-dimensional data, time-series data, and imaging statistics. Originally from China, I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Economics, with a major in Financial Engineering from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. Upon enrolling in Brown’s Biostatistics program, in November 2022, I started being supervised by Dr. Ani Eloyan and Dr. Youjin Lee on a project titled 'Developing Reliable and Robust Causal Inference Approaches for Effective Connectivity Research with fMRI Data'. Our work, 'Leverage of Functional Connectivity and Effective Connectivity by Selective Inference with Sample Splitting and fMRI Data', will be presented at the ENAR 2024 Spring Meeting. I am currently applying to pursue a PhD program in Biostatistics, aiming to further her research in this developing field.
